Georgia country club shooting: Suspect charged with assault and murder
In a new update, a suspect was arrested in the Georgia country club homicide on Thursday, police said. The shooting killed three people, including the club’s golf pro.
The suspect, identified as Bryan Rhoden, 23, was arrested from Chamblee, 25 miles southeast of where the bodies of three people were found the last Saturday. Rhoden was charged with murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping.
Rhoden was arrested the day after the shooting and was charged with driving under influence (DUI), according to online jail records. He was released on Tuesday and was arrested again on Thursday on golf club shooting murder charges.
This is not the first time Rhoden was arrested. He had previously been arrested for assault, attempted murder, and possession of firearms in an incident, while he was a student at Georgia State University.
The golf club shooting happened last Saturday. The victims have been identified as Gene Siller, director of Golf for the club, Paul Pierson, 76, of Kansas, and Henry Valdez, 46, of California.
