Governer Inslee: Regardless of the vaccination target, Washington will reopen on June 30
The target set by the administration is to get 70% of the population (16 and above) by the 4th of July, Governor Inslee in his announcement said that, even if the goal is not met, Washington will reopen. The state government realises that the virus can still wreak havoc so the state will not let go of all of its regulations.
The vaccination drive is being given a boost up by lottery prizes, ‘Care-a-Van’, that delivers the vaccine to people who are homebound, Guaranteed Education Tuition, among other incentives. As more and more people get vaccinated in the state, the development of herd immunity takes a step forward.
To be clear: Washingtonians who have been vaccinated (regardless of when) are eligible. This includes people who got vaccinated before this announcement.
If you got vaccinated in the last couple months, or last week or tomorrow, you are eligible. https://t.co/S05brUPo3t
