Helicopter crashed at Army training facility, 2 injured

An army helicopter crashed at a training base in South Alabama which left two people hurt, as per military officials.

An “aviation mishap” involved a UH-72 Lakota helicopter. The incident occurred when two-person were on board conducting flight training at Ft. Rucker’s Brown Stagefield heliport near New Brockton.

Fort Rucker is Army’s primary training facility for helicopter pilots.

Information regarding the potential cause of the accident was not revealed immediately by the officials.

No fatalities were reported; both individuals were evacuated for medical treatment. Helicopter was damaged.
