Here’s why Meghan Markle won’t be accompanying Prince Harry for Prince Philip’s funeral

Prince Philip passed away at Windsor Castle, at the age of 99, on Friday morning. Prince Harry is set to attend his grandfather’s funeral next Saturday, but his wife Meghan Mark will be absent from the event!

Harry is currently living in California with his wife Meghan and their son Archie. They moved to the US last year after quitting their royalties.

Royal experts and fans have started to share their thoughts on the possibility of Prince Harry and Meghan’s arrival to the UK for attending the service of the late prince.

The reason behind Meghan not attending the funeral is because she is in the last months of pregnancy for her 2nd child, and rest is recommended on doctor’s orders, so she will be staying in California. Also “They’re taking this precaution seriously because she miscarried before”

A low-key-ceremony for Prince Philip’s funeral

The funeral has been hyped by U.S. and British media and controversy tied to Harry and Meghan’s interview, but the ceremony is expected to be very normal considering royal standards. The funeral is set to uphold numerous COVID-19 pandemic restrictions and social distancing guidelines, including a limit on the number of people able to attend.

Harry, the Duke of Sussex, will be on a Trans-Atlantic flight without his wife this week “following COVID-19 protocols for travel”. Prince preferred to drive himself rather than having a traditional royal chauffeur, so the ceremony is set to have a Land Rover, with no chauffeur.

A national moment of silence is expected to take place in tandem with the funeral at 3 p.m. local time next Saturday. Only thirty people total are slated to attend Philip’s funeral procession in keeping with British public health guidelines for the pandemic.

“Harry feels guilty for not being there to say goodbye to Prince Philip in person,” he “had a close bond” with his late grandfather”.
