Houses Democrats and Republicans in disagreement on the expenditure planned for Capitol Security

The proposal to spend $1.9 million proposed by Democrats doesn’t sit well with GOP. The opposition party claims that administration is rushing into this decision, it needs to wait until the review. As it seems six democrats agree and have voted against the bill which stands at 213-212 in the Senate Vote.

“This bill is not about politics. It’s not about settling scores. It’s about ensuring that every person who comes onto the Capitol grounds is safe and is protected. The funding is not optional.” said the worried Appropriations Committee Chairman Rosa DeLauro.
