In spite of several calls for ceasefire, Israel unleashes strike for consecutive 11th day

Despite calls for a ceasefire by several countries and organizations including the United Nations, Israeli airstrikes again crumbled the enclave and Hamas rockets targeted towns in Israel.

An Israeli minister said Israel would only cease its offensive only when it had achieved its goals, and Israeli warplanes unleashed more airstrikes on the densely-populated enclave on the 11th day of hostilities.

Rocket attacks on Israel halted for eight hours early on Thursday but then recommenced against communities near the Israel-Gaza border.

Israeli warplanes unleashed more airstrikes on the densely-populated enclave on the 11th day of antagonism.

Israel carried out more than 12 airstrikes on Gaza after midnight, targeting what it said was a weapons storage unit in the home of a Hamas official, and military infrastructure in the houses of other commanders.
