Kamala Harris meets with Congressional Asian Pacific America Caucus members
US Vice President Kamala Harris on Wednesday posted on Twitter about her meeting with the members of the Congressional Asian Pacific America Caucus on Tuesday. She wrote, “Yesterday, I met with the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus. We discussed the impact of COVID-19, our work to stop the rise in hate crimes, and how the American Jobs Plan and the American Families Plan will help the AANHPI community and all Americans.”

Kamala Harris spoke to the members of the Congressional Asian Pacific American Caucus that the Biden administration stands with them in fighting the increasing number of hate crimes against Asian-Americans.
During the meeting, Harris stated, “We have seen how Asian-American people in our country have been targeted by vicious expressions of hate, so much so that 6600 cases of hate crimes against Asian-Americans have been reported in just this last year.”
The American Jobs Plan is an extensive $2.3 trillion development package that aims to improve the country’s aging infrastructure, combating climate change and creating jobs.
