Marine Corps Officer is the first member in service to be charged for Capitol riot
Accused of pushing his way through police officers on guard at East Rotunda doors, Major Christopher Warnagiris becomes the first active service member to be caught for his involvement in the Jan 6 Capitol Riots.
Major Warnagiris, Quatico, Virginia, has been charged with obstruction of law enforcement, obstruction of justice for assault and impediment of the police officers and later resisting them while they followed the rule of law.
Warnagiris was the first to be taken into account but since then the Justice department has rounded up about 4 Guardsmen and Reservists along with 40 Veterans.
