Massachusetts to lift pandemic restrictions on businesses by May 29

“The people in Massachusetts did the hard work and made the sacrifice. We are now prepared to move forward together,” Gov. Charlie Baker said, speaking at the State House on Monday lifting coronavirus restrictions on businesses from May 29.

Thanks to America’s highly efficient and one of the world’s most advanced vaccination programs, Massachusetts would be ending the state of pandemic emergency by June 15 and achieving great heights in terms of combating the situation, the state would hopefully completely reopen in 2 months.

“I think for everybody in Massachusetts, it’s been a really, really, really long year, we are now prepared and protected and we can move forward together”, Baker said. His reopening announcement means that from May 29, all industry restrictions will be lifted increasing capacity to 100% for all industries as the Baker administration said in a separate statement.

Earlier the state’s reopening timeline set the full reopening date for Aug. 1, now we have the announcement coming 364 days after the initial face-covering advisory was announced.
