President Joe Biden to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, recapitulating support for Good Friday Agreement

St. Patrick’s day will be celebrated by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harries after meeting with Ireland’s prime minister and recapitulating US support for the Contentious Good Friday Agreement.

The Vice president and the commander-in-chief will hold separate meetings with the Irish Taoiseach Michael Martin on Wednesday as the Vice president is promoting the administration of the $1.9 trillion COVID -19 relief bill on the West Coast.

Firm commitment will be expressed by President and Vice President for sustaining a hard-won peace agreement.

The Good Friday Agreement was approved in 1998, ending decades of bloodshed between Ireland and Northern Ireland

Ireland and Northern Ireland share the same border, As Ireland is part of the EU and Northern Ireland is part of the UK.

Legal actions have been taken from the EU against the United Kingdom accusing that it has violated international law with its trade policy.

”President Biden has been unequivocal in his support for the Good Friday Agreement, which was a historical achievement and needs to ensure that it does not become a casualty of Brexit.” said one National Security Council senior.
