President Joe Biden to deliver 1st primetime address on Mar 11

On March 11, President Joe Biden will deliver his maiden primetime address to mark the COVID shutdown which started on the same date last year, stated White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki during Monday brief.

According to Psaki, the address will primarily cover the hardships borne by the Americans during the COVID era.

Mr Biden will also focus on the USA’s role in crippling the pandemic. There may also be a word on the stimulus package of 1.9 trillion dollars, which aims to cushion the economic damage caused by the pandemic.

Passed by the Senate on March 6, the package bill is likely to be tabled on Wednesday for vote in the House of Representatives.
