Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcome daughter, Lilibet ‘Lili’ Diana
Another royal baby has finally arrived!
The royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle welcomed their second child, a daughter, whom they named, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor, on Friday, June 4, 2021.
A close source and a spokesperson to them, revealed on Sunday, June 6, that Meghan has delivered a healthy baby girl, who weighed 7 lbs, 11 oz, at birth.
Standing eight in the queue of the British throne succession after son Archie, her initial name ‘Lilibet’, is an ode to Queen Elizabeth’s nickname, followed by her middle name, in honour of her grandmother and Harry’s mother, late Princess Diana.
While no pictures of their newly born child has been revealed yet, this one arrives right after the Duke and Duchess of Sussex’ explosive and controversial interview with Oprah Winfrey, that made the couple disclose quite a lot of insides from the Royal Family.
The world has witnessed how Meghan opened up on her suicidal thoughts while residing at the royal palace, with members commenting on her son Archie’s complexion and how they ended up losing the royal protection.
Prince Harry and the American actress Meghan, tied the knot in a royal wedding ceremony on May 2018, at the Windsor Castle, a year after which they gave birth to their first child, Archie.
Currently, the couple resides at Montecito, in Saint Barbara, California, after quitting from their royal duties in 2020.
In July 2020, Meghan had also opened up on fighting the trauma and depression after going through a miscarriage, to help all those who have been through a similar phase.
