Prince Philip passed away on April 9 at Windsor Castle aged 99. Following his death, the Royal members including Queen Elizabeth, Prince Harry and Prince William have paid their tribute to him through Instagram.

The Duke of Edinburgh passed away on April 9, at Windsor Castle at the age of 99. Following his death, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle paid their tribute to him by releasing a statement that read, “Thank you for your service… you will be greatly missed.”

Now, Prince William has paid his tribute to his beloved grandfather with an exceptionally heart warming Instagram on the official Duke and Duchess of Cambridge account.

The post read, “My grandfather’s century of life was defined by service. I feel lucky to have not just had his example to guide me, but his enduring presence well into my own adult life — both through good times and the hardest days … Catherine and I will continue to do what he would have wanted and will support The Queen in the years ahead. I will miss my Grandpa, but I know he would want us to get on with the job.”

Prince William got extremely emotional and poured out all his emotions in the post. He added that he will always remember the fond memories of his children, George, Charlotte, and Louis with their beloved great grandpa.  He was an extremely adventurous and a humorous personality.

William and Kate had honoured Prince Philip by changing their Twitter cover photo to that of a black and white Duke of Edinburgh.

Meanwhile, the funeral is planned to take place on April 17 at St. George’s Chapel, located at the Windsor Castle.
