Queen Elizabeth II leaves a heartwarming handwritten note on her late husband’s coffin

Queen Elizabeth bids goodbye to her late husband Prince Philip with a heavy heart and a heartwarming gesture. She bid adieu with a personal touch to the Duke of Edinburgh with whom she had tied the knot 73 years ago. The Prince’s wife placed a handwritten note on top of his coffin throughout his funeral services on Saturday.

Her Majesty signed off the note with the nickname “Lilibet” This was a nickname she was given as a child.

No more details are revealed by the palace as it’s “private.”

During the funeral, the monarch grieved her husband’s death, sitting all alone in the pews of St. George’s Chapel.
