Rep. Cheney unseated from GOP for being a Trump critic
The representative from the Republican Party for the state of Wyoming has been a vehement critic of the former US President most recently for the ‘Stolen Election’ fiasco and then his involvement in the Capitol Riots.
She was ousted by her party through a voice vote earlier today. This was the second time she faced a vote within her own party but this time around, she lacked the support of GOP giants like Kevin McCarthy. It may be because of her very conspicuous disapproval of Donald Trump and her vote in support of his impeachment.
While speaking to the reporters after have been voted out, she appeared determined and said “The nation needs a party that is based upon fundamental principles of conservatism, and I am committed and dedicated to ensuring that that’s how this party goes forward, and I plan to lead the fight to do that”.
Many rose to the occasion and defended her passionately!
We cannot understate the magnitude of today’s GOP vote on @Liz_Cheney. It is a sad day for our #democracy & it is rock bottom for the former #Republican party of Lincoln. History will be written on those who defended the truth unwaveringly.

Leader Hoyer: "I think the removal of Liz Cheney is going to be a black mark on the Republican Party for a long time to come. She told the truth. She keeps telling the truth, they can't take the truth because Donald Trump is not a friend of the truth."
