Retired Colonel awarded for his bravery in the Korean War

Colonel P. Buckett was presented with the ‘Medal of Honour’ for his bravery in the Korean War by the President. The South Korean President Moon Jae-in was present at the ceremony as well. He was the first foreign member to attend this kind of ceremony.

“Today we are hosting a true American hero and awarding an honor that is long overdue, more than 70 years overdue,” President Biden exclaimed. Both the Presidents kneeled in front of the war hero so that everyone present on the stage could fit into the picture frame. This was the first of its kind ceremony after President Biden took the office.
