Sam’s Club brings back free samples to nationwide clubs after 14 month hiatus for COVID
After a break of more than a year, membership-only retailed based company Sam’s Club announced on Tuesday about relaunching free samples for customers and demo program to its 600 clubs across the world.
This program was into consideration for more than 35 years but the company said it was paused in March 2020 “out of concern for the health and safety of members and associates during COVID-19.”
The retailer has joined Costco with the latter announcing its free sampling as well as its food court and seating- the return of Sam’s club samples and demos, officially known as the “Taste and Tips” program along with Costco also bringing back full sampling by the first week of June to all its locations is an indicator of the U.S. economy slowly getting back on track post the pandemic.
Sam’s Club is taking samples out of clubs, too as they are testing new ways to sample items, with its first-ever Member’s Mark Summer Eats Food Truck that will tour the central part of the nation this summer.
