Series of quakes hit California- Nevada Border

The California- Nevada border experienced a series of earthquakes, out of which the most notable of magnitude 4.7 was encountered at around 9:35 pm, on Thursday. There have been no disclosed intimation of any damages in the area or injury to someone.

As informed by US Geological survey, this tremor was centred at Sierra County which is about 10 miles from Soda Springs, California and almost 27 miles away from Reno towards west.
An earthquake of magnitude 3.2 preceded it by nine minutes and another of magnitude 3.1 struck the place about 2.5 minutes after this tremor.
