Shooting at Long Island grocery store leaves 1 dead and 2 wounded
Shooting at Long Island grocery store, West Hempstead, N.Y has claimed one person’s life and two others were injured, says Nassau County Police on Tuesday.
The shooting took place upstairs from the shopping floor, inside the manager’s cabin. The person who died was a 49-year-old employee, confirmed police in a press conference near the scene.
The police also added that there were around a couple hundred people inside the store.
No one in custody has any connection with the shooting. The person of interest had a small handgun and he had been employed at the store. It is yet to know whether the person of interest named, Ryan, is still employed.
