Strong storm hit parts of Missouri; Tornado warning issued
Across the parts of Missouri, strong storms are moving and at least one tornado was reportedly spotted in the state’s southwestern corner.
A tornado at 10 a.m. about 8 miles south of Sparta was confirmed by the National Weather Service. A tornado warning was issued for the towns of Elkhead, Oldfield, Keltner, Garrison, and Chadwick. No injuries or damage has been reported yet due to the tornado.
For the parts of Douglas, Howell, Taney, Webster, Wright counties, and Ozark, the weather service has issued a severe thunderstorm warning. It was expected that the storms would bring heavy rain, hail, and damaging rai up to 60 mph.
