Subaru recalls around 900K vehicle amid concerns over stalling and starting
Subaru, an America Inc. has declared two voluntary recalls Thursday which affects nearly 900,000 Crosstrek, Impreza and Forester vehicles.
According to the company, no accidents and injuries have been reported and the customers won’t be charge for the proposed fixes. The company is encouraging each owner of the affected vehicle to reach out to an authorized Subaru retailer as soon as they receive notification of the recall.
The affected vehicles include
- 2019 Forester
- 2018-2019 Crosstrek
- 2017-2019 Impreza
The first recall affects more than 466,000 Impreza sedans and Crosstrek sport utility vehicle in which the company will check and/or update the engine control module programming and will replace all ignition coils which could degrade over time or can cause issues.
The second recall affects 405,000 Forester and 2019 Crosstrek models, where they plan to re-torque bolts on the rear stabilizer bracket, which could, come time over time.
According to the company the customer will receive notification within 60 days, and owner can contact customer service at 1-844-373-6614.
