These feminist anthems will surely make you embrace your womanhood

Men are known for putting out good music. But, there is absolutely something special about songs written by women, for women, spreading the message of feminism. These songs are, for sure, one’s personal hype-woman when they need it to be.

Although The Spice Girls may have been the first to do it, they definitely aren’t the last. The songs in this article are supposed to be blasted, either by turning up the volume of your earphones or your car speakers.

The list comprises songs by Beyoncé, Ariana Grande, Taylor Swift, and Selena Gomez, among other artists.

“No Body, No Crime” by Taylor Swift featuring Haim

A song about a woman killing her friend’s husband after he cheated and, allegedly, killed her. This song shows how powerful women can be when they are determined to do something.

“WAP” by Cardi B. & Megan Thee Stallion

While at first, WAP may not seem like a feminist anthem, Megan and Cardi’s attempt at breaking stereotypes and being empowered in the song, definitely makes it one.

“Confident” by Demi Lovato

A song that is continuously asking “What’s wrong with being confident?” will surely releave you of any self-doubt.

“Who Run The World (Girls)” by Beyoncé

Well, no explanation needed here! It is so obvious that girls, especially Beyoncé, run the world.

“The Man” by Taylor Swift

Swift makes sure to call out double standards in this song. The best lyrics of the song has to be “I’m so sick of running as fast as I can, wondering if I’d get there quicker if I was a man” and “If I was a man, then I’d be the man.”

“God Is a Woman” by Ariana Grande

If Ari says God is a woman, then God definitely must be a woman. This song will make you want to embrace and appreciate your inner goddess.

“Rare” by Selena Gomez

After not dropping a studio album for years, Gomez made a comeback with an album that’ll surelygive you the “I don’t need a man in my life” vibe. This song, specifically, will make you love your uniqueness.

“Most Girls” by Hailee Steinfeld

This song is the perfect response to backhanded compliments like “You’re not like most girls” that boys give.
