Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi divulged plan about cannabis delivery if legally permitted

On Monday, Uber CEO Dara Khosrowshahi revealed its plans considering cannabis delivery, “when the road is clear.” Khosrowashahi determinant about his plans says, “When federal laws come into play, we’re going to take a look at it.

While the conversation about Uber’s February acquisition of Boston-based alcohol delivery service Drizly, he frankly mentioned cannabis delivery strategy. Even if the delivery is illegal at the federal level almost three dozen US states have decriminalized the drug, either for medical or recreational purposes some for both uses.

New York legalized recreational use and expunging the records who were convicted on marijuana-related charges that are no longer criminalized.

Uber declined to provide additional comments about Khosrowshahi’s remarks.“For right now with grocery, with food, with alcohol, etc., we see so much opportunity out there and we’re going to focus on the opportunity at hand.” claimed Uber.
