Vladimir Putin speaks post first summit with President Biden in Geneva

Russian President Vladimir Putin is holding a press conference after meeting with U.S. President Joe Biden in Geneva, Switzerland. Biden will hold a separate press conference following Putin’s remarks.

Reports say nuclear stability, climate change and cybersecurity are on the agenda for the summit. Also to be discussed and considered is the outlook for Russian and U.S. nationals imprisoned in each other’s countries.

President Joe Biden would also be holding a separate press conference regarding the same. The Kremlin aid that gave reports on the important political, social and economic scenarios to be discussed within the two leaders however said he wasn’t sure if any agreements could be reached.

The meeting came after Biden’s first international trip as president, where he reaffirmed alliances with G-7 leaders and NATO allies, sources expect him to adopt a new approach and a different tone with his Russian counterpart compared to his predecessor Donald Trump.
