Why is RIP Twitter trending?
A norm of relentlessly being connected with the world has arisen in the past decade with apps like WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook and even Reddit, each promoting its billions of users to express their every thought online, yet not being able to handle the overload of their servers. We’ve seen multiple apps crash or not respond if even for a few minutes, causing users to panic and take to Twitter to express the same.
However, this time it was Twitter that was down earlier today.
Having risen in ranks as one of the most reliable communication apps around, among competitors like Facebook and WhatsApp, by having an unbeatable record of never being down, Twitter surprised all its users by having logout errors and other failures on Saturday.
Users, who had previously used the app to express concerns or reaffirm their suspicions of other apps being down, found they could not actually blog about Twitter on Twitter, leaving us all with the question, who should we turn to?
