World’s smallest cow spotted in Bangladesh

A 20 inches tall cow, named Rani, is being hailed as the world’s smallest cow. The 23-month-old cow is currently residing in Manikganj District in Bangladesh.

Rani, who is about four inches shorter than Manikyam, the current titleholder for the world’s smallest cow, will be the smallest cow if the Guinness World Record confirms it.

“Rani is a craze as she has a high possibility to have her name in the Guinness Book of World Records,” Kazi Mohammed Abu Sufian told The Washington Post.

According to Rani’s owner, Kazi Mohammed Abu Sufian, she was born in 2019. She gained almost 15 pounds in the last year but did not get any taller. News about Rani spread and as a result, hundreds swarmed to Abu Safian’s farm.

Only 10 visitors are allowed to meet her, due to the pandemic. Abu Safian also hired three security guards in order to control her fans.

Despite the dwarfism that affects her health, Abu Safian hopes to keep Rani alive as long as possible. According to U.S. Meat Animal Research Center, dwarfism is uncommon in Rani’s breed, Bhutti.
