Zayn Malik condemns the Grammy in a Twitter post
Every year the prestigious Grammys nomination makes those nominated, ecstatic while disappoints those who couldn’t make it to the list! This year, Zayn Malik took it to a level higher by saying, “F— the Grammys”, and everyone associated in his tweet. Some, however also pointed out the fact that Malik did not have a release this year that could’ve been in contention. Tweeters took no time to call out his ineligibility for the same.
Fuck the grammys and everyone associated. Unless you shake hands and send gifts, there’s no nomination considerations. Next year I’ll send you a basket of confectionary.

While others were quick to presume Malik was upset over the lack of Grammy recognition for his latest album, “No One Is Listening,” which debuted on the U.S. album chart earlier this year at No. 44. The phrase “this year” is an operative one there; the window for eligibility for the 2021 Grammy Awards closed at the end of September, more than three and a half months before the release of his album.
And, his fans went ahead to say that he obviously realized his ineligibility, it was for the other deserving artists that he made a rant. However, he himself went ahead and tweeted a clarification; to quell the commotion.
My tweet was not personal or about eligibility but was about the need for inclusion and the lack of transparency of the nomination process and the space that creates and allows favoritism, racism, and netwokring politics to influence the voting process
