First city on Mars, “Hopefully will happen this decade,” says Elon Musk

Elon Musk, the man behind the mighty vision of SpaceX and Tesla, recently said something that brought joys to the millions of SpaceX fans. Elon Musk confirmed that the construction to make the first city on Mars will begin sooner or later this decade, which left fans amused.

In a recent reply to a tweet, Elon Musk said, “Hopefully will happen this decade”. Originally the tweet questioned the probability of making cities on Mars even in 2024.

What happened was that a Twitter account tweeted that the construction start time to build a Mars Base Alpha isn’t 2054. To which our Elon Musk replied, “Hopefully will happen this decade”.

In reply to Elon Musk’s tweet, another Twitter user asked that How were Raptor Vac development and testing going? To which Elon Musk said, “Going well. Lot of work for an extra 20 secs of Isp!”

Elon Musk has been given full attention when he speaks on something related to Mars, and this recent tweet may be a confirmation to the speculations which said that Elon Musk might start building “Mars Base” at the end of this decade.

However, some fans do not believe this news legitimate and say that it’s too good to be true.

A user named Tom Hawkins said, “2054 will be the earliest we even step foot on Mars I’d wager. We’ve managed a one-ton payload, one-way. Talk of humans building bases on Mars any time in the next 50 years is just not realistic. We’ve not even put humans back on the moon yet, and that’s way easier.”
