Google and Roku compete on a number of heads, including smart TV hardware devices, smart TV operating devices and smart TV content.

In order to get preferential treatment for YouTube TV, Google is allegedly threating Roku that the app will be removed.

Google has required that when the users are streaming on the YouTube TV, block results from other streaming must be blocked, says Roku. Also to create a dedicated search results row for YouTube TV, Roku added.

Google has allegedly threatened that by using certain chips set or memory card, it will force Roku to increase its price of hardware which competes directly with Google.

The allegations come amid antitrust investigation into Google by the Justice Department, state attorney’s general and Congress over Google’s dominance in advertising and search.
